I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
