In a unexpected crossover event that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden rituals and terrifying transformations reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret sect.
The mission centers on "strange tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
